What Happens when Recruitment Goes Wrong

There have been so many stories from companies who have used agencies who couldn’t be more attentive when wanting to make the placement. However if it does go wrong, they are nowhere to be seen. Quite often, there is some clause in the contract that very often means that you, the client, are left high and dry. This reason is why so many people are left with a bitter taste in their mouth when talking about recruitment agencies.

We are dealing with people. Things change, things are not always what they seem in interview and therefore things will sometimes go wrong. The most important thing is putting a plan in place for when this happens and doing your upmost to support your client if this happens.

As a client you should ask your agent what plan they have should it go wrong? Are there any clauses in the contract that would prevent them from getting a free replacement or a rebate.

Very occasionally, it doesn’t work out, despite our best efforts. In the event of this happening, we will set up a meeting straight away to evaluate why it didn’t work out. We always seek to resolve any issue amicably, so establishing an accurate chain of events is essential.
